You aren't the first to say "since VFP will load in memory only the part it need to work at that time, not the whole 8.5MB".
But I wonder if this is true any more, in a fully paged operating system. IF VFP actually does this then it is a lot of extra code to do what the operating system will do naturally. I could also see that easily interfering with COM-style processing, especially of the MTS variety.
It would be useful to know for sure.
