I've used many timers with interval much less than 20 minutes and have never experienced a slow down because of them. IMHO, you will not even notice that the timer is there.

It seems to me that Timers must be fairly intensive as the system must be constantly checking to see whether the interval has elapsed. I believe this may be true even with a large interval (I'd be using an interval of 1,200,000 (20 minutes)). So, to be concise, do timers take a lot of CPU time & are they constantly being checked? Thanks in advance for you response.
