>Don't assume that it will save you time on your first project. There's a lot to learn about VFE.
Hmmmm....thanks for that input...guess I realized that it wouldn't really save me time the first on the first project, but it sounds like the learning curve is steep...did you 'get it' all from the user's guide? Are there any other books/resources you recommend? (I just checked into the wiki for the first time today).

I'd been hoping to do some training/go to the conference in Las Vegas, but things didn't work out that way.

I'm kind of in a time crunch here, to start with (but when am I not?) have been wondering if I should put off tackling VFE for another time.

>It was doubly hard for me because I really didn't know Visual Foxpro that well when I started. Ran smack into the "learning cliff".
I've been using VFP for over a year now, but still have SOOOOO much to learn...I can imagine that attempting them both at the same time WOULD be doubly hard.

>Will you be using the new 6.0 version? I hear that it is faster.
Yes...after much hassle w/Hallogram (they advertized 6.0, billed me for 6.0 and sent me 5.0), I finally have 6.0.

>The advantage to using a framework like VFE is that you will have a much better structured project when you are done.
I'm sure that's true...

Thanks for your input...J
