Of course, I'm assuming here that you've got a short cut on your desktop that reads something like "Visual FoxPro 6.0", which would be Visual FoxPro 6.0.LNK in the desktop directory.

Tried it ("C:\WINDOWS\DESKTOP\*.LNK"), no problem (VFP5 VS97/SP3 & VFP6 VS6/SP3). And it did return something with multiple periods! (SBT 5.0 Ughh!) :)
