My recommendation is use a web interface. Check out West-wind.com for Web Connection. It's pretty easy to get up to speed and there are many of us web connect developers if you need a hired gun to assist. If you go client server, you will have to deal with installing and maintaining the front and back end. With a web interface you can control it all from one site. Just my $.02.
