VFP's popularity is way behind against VB in our country. From business establishments to school, VB is. The disappointing fact is not because of performance nor richness when it comes to DML, but because of poor and lack of support from MS locally. Lots of applicants who are fresh graduates knows more on VB because it is being pushed much by instructors who are theoretically experts to paraphrase. But asking those lucky applicants who are forced to study VFP when accepted to be employed, their statements says "Why is it that MS pushing VB more than VFP?"

I knew one software development company also who especializes in Banking systems. And they're using VFP/SQL Server.

More often than not, aspiring developers or even full pledged developers tend to go on with the flow of today's popular tools rather than today's powerful tools.
