James,

>cProgressform has been included with MM ever since I can remember. But as far back as I can remember I have never seen any documentation. If anybody has ever used it successfuly, please let me know.>

As we speak, I'm finishing up some documentation on the classes you've mentioned. I'll be releasing it soon along with a new version 6.0b! This isn't a major release...some new cool items in the builder, a number of enhancements and some bug fixes.

>Also, I have used ingrid successfuly in many situations. The class is now the default textbox for all grid classes. However, it is kind of moot in maintenanceform grids where lsethighlight bar is set to .T. Logically, this is the best place to use ingrid because maintenancform is designed to work with all values in a table-not a parameterized view. There is no documentation on how to implement this class or any suggestion on how best to use it.>

Actually, a maintenanceform grid that has its lSetHighlightBar = .T. *is* a great place to use incremental searching. The documentation on how to implement the new grid classes is found in the Developer's Guide topic "Grid TextBox Controls". You can use these wherever you want to implement incremental search in Grids.

As an aside, CBizObjMaintenanceForm does work well with parameterized views. As mentioned in the Developer's Guide topic "Creating Forms from CBizObjMaintenanceForm", you can add a control to page 1 of the form that limits the number of records displayed...and you *should* do this if you're returning more than several hundred records from the back end.
