As John has stated, it is not a good idea to mimick 2.6 style code in VFP.
You will get into serious trouble if you try to use memory variables as in 2.6. Right away I can tell you that you will have a problem as the Activate method fires all the time someone ALT Tabs out of VFP, then back. Do you want to reinitialize your memvars like that???
