I am planning to write a file transmission program, however, I have no experience on it. What is your suggestion? Should I use MSComm32 only or API or MAPI or AT commands or buy 3rd product(but I am still looking for)? I am collecting all information about file transmission but almost all of them are telling me the method of control modem, not the way to transfer file. Is/Are there any book(s) talk about this topic?

Actually, I read a few books and help files of VB and PDQComm. I still have no idea on file transmission.

My program purpose is transfer table files to Chinese Branches and then receive table files from them.

What is your suggestion?
