I have a form that uses a grid. The grid has nearly twenty columns. One column in particular contains character data. Date separation characters (forward slashes) appear in this column when the column becomes active. The separation characters are not present unless the column is active. I'm using VFP 5.0 Professional.

Does anyone know why the separation characters are appearing and more importantly, how to get rid of them?

Alternately, can anyone reccommend another grid class that might not exhibit the same behavior?
