The application along with all of its data must be burned on a CD on a regular basis for off-site support, on laptops, in a non-connected environment. MSDE will serve as a lightweight means of providing functionality without rewritting any code.

Bruno --

Are you using VFP as the front end? If so, have you discovered any differences in how VFP works with MSDE, versus how it works with SQL Server? Any significant limitations to MSDE (other than the replication and security issues mentioned by others in this thread)?

Thanks -- Bill
