In cases where I added stuff to VSS that I didn't think made sense, I just deleted them from the VSS project. After that VSS doesn't worry about them.

>I found two VSS articles in Foxpro Advisor, October, 1997. They did not discuss adding files to VSS when they reside in another folder than the VFP project but I learned that the shared file technique works to do what I want.

>However, I came across a problem: I notice that VSS adds *.FXP files to the VSS project. Does this make sense? By putting the compiled result files into VSS would prevent anyone from compiling local files to test. The "Help" says that selecting a group when manually adding files to VSS will filter only the ones that show in the group. Selecting VFP group indicates that no *.FXP files are in the group mask and the List Display shows this to be true. However, the Add pushbutton ignores this mask and takes everything in the folder. This looks like a bug to me.
