Has anybody created a means of sending alphanumeric text to pagers from VFP? I have tried several techniques via mscomm.ocx and a third party tool called pagerdll.dll.

MSCOMM seems to think the comm port is always open and pagerdll only dials the first time it is called, but does not send the string. An old fox for windows app I wrote a long time ago communicates with the comm port using the fopen,fputs commands, but I guess that functionality is no longer avaliable.
