A few years pack I tested a DLL called Power Page. It worked very well with VFP. It even came with VFP sample code. An evaluation copy is available on Compuserve. The evaluation version is limited to 40 character messages but has most of the funtionality of the full version. If you don't have Compuserve access, send me a private e-mail and I'll send you a copy. It's only a 50K file.

An old fox for windows app I wrote a long time ago communicates with the comm port using the fopen,fputs commands, but I guess that functionality is no longer avaliable.
