>>>Why does VFPF*&&@ing6 start forms at a position decided by itself. Even if autocenter is .T. it offsets the form and does other weird stuff. If I set a form to autocenter .T. I want the damn thing to be in the f@$# center.... Nowhere else... OK!!!

>>Glad to see you can remain calm about these things ;-) Anyway, do you use a framework, did you develop it? You might want to check any classes you don't know fluidly for this type of behavior. Things like instanciating a toolbar after the form has Initialized mak effect its overall "Centerness", could that be the case?

>Good point about the framework, Mike. We use Visual Maxframe, and form positions are saved in their User Pref file. We found that distributing that file to clients caused the form to center on their 600 X 800 screens as if it were on OUR 21" 1280 X 1084 setting. We were lucky if they could find a corner and drag it onto their screen :-)

Hi Barbara,

This problem was an isolated case but what I do in my framework normally is save the form position and size using code from an article published in FoxTalk a while back. It works quite well, can't remember the guy's name right now. Yea, your right the screen dimensions can change depending on what is already present in the _screen.
