>If you mean RAS, it just means running the RAS install, and then reapplying the %(*&(*&%^ service pack again. There's a great article on Service packs and sanity in the current issue of Windows NT System magazine; I haven't checked, but the text is probably available on-line at www.ntsystems.com

Here's what I did...
I had NT and SP5 running just fine (other than the erroneous Cdrom0 bad block error described on this thread previously) along with the bare minimum Toshiba drivers. First time I went to setup RAS for my ISP via Dial-up Networking icon in My Computer, I used the NT Setup to add RAS & left it do it's post-install reboot, then re-applied SP5, added new phonebook entry and dialed in. As soon as the modem and server handshake successfully - kablam, BSOD with modem's IRQ tramping on kernal. So I Reinstalled all over again and got everything but modem functioning with SP5, installed RAS via DUN icon and didnt leave it do the post-install reboot, instead loaded SP5 again right away then left it reboot. Same result with BSOD. One more try - reinstalled NT (each reinstall with fresh partition format of course), and had NT setup load both RAS and Toshiba modem driver. All hell broke loose in Event Viewer because NT Setup gave the internal modem a different COM port than the Toshiba install program did. Thought "dagnabbit, I gotta be close..." Ok one more try, reinstalled NT again. Then installed Toshiba modem driver, Then loaded RAS via DUN. Then SP5 and other Toshiba drivers. OK ready to test again, except it was almost 2am :( Will test as soon as I get back to HomePlanet this evening.
