Odd scrollbar behavior in grid

I'm using a grid to display the "many" side of a one-to-many relationship between two remote views. I've set the relationship and the index correctly for the correct records to be displayed.

The grid has only 4 columns, and only a vertical scrollbar. After I got everything set up correctly, I noticed that everytime the grid was filled with more records than could be displayed at one time, the vertical scrollbar was placed on the bottom (as if to be showing the last records in the record set) even though the first records were being shown.

The scrollbar will not "scroll" either. That is, if you grab the bar and slid it half-way up the grid, and release it, it snaps back down to the bottom of the grid.

Is this a "feature"? or have I missed a poperty that needs to be set in order for the scrollbar on this grid to work? This is the only grid I have in my entire project, so I don't know much about them...

Thanks!
