Nevermind,
1. I created a table with 10 million records in it with no index.
2. Then I performed actions as I suggested previously.
3. Found out that even though I was using the correct syntax for SQL Pass Through on the data store, the processing took place on the requesting machine. (Used Task Manager to watch processor usage during the request).
