>It appears that when doing a mail merge with Word you must have more than one record. I would love for someone to tell me it will work. (and how) I was using OLE and got everything working great but when I sent only one record Word said something about missing field delimiters. When I sent two records it worked fine. I tried changing from ODBC to the old copy x deli to use comma delimited text files and still get the same results. I edited the text file one time, putting a carrage return at the top of the file and it worked. When I sent a file from VFP it gave me a blank first page. HELP

John, I have a mailmerge function in Word which is driven by a VFP app via OLE. I stuff data values into a table on the users C drive and call Word with a form letter that references that (standard) table as the merge source. It took me a while to get it working but it works well now.

If this sounds like what you want to do then it should be possible. If you are stumped let me know and I can dig out my code.

BTW, it was a load on each WS to keep bringing up Word to do the merge so I gave that task to one dedicated WS. It keeps checking for new data in a common table where all of the other WS simply put their merge data and the name of the letter they want to use.
