We are thinking of a long term scenario which is INTERNET apps. Monolithic and C/S apps are still profitable at least on our case.
I am learning another tool as an additional weapon in my arsenal, JAVA. A bit hard, but worth the time because the OOP standards are there. This way, when internet apps comes into its full maturity, at least I am not far away with the technology. No need for me to worry if its compatible with LINUX, WINDOWS, UNIX etc. In VB, it's hard, no cross-platform capability. The thing is, if you're good in C++, JAVA is no longer hard to learn because it is the simplified and enhanced version of C++.
