I inquired about getting DSL service in my home a few months back and was told that even though the were rolling out the service in my area and I was close enough to the switch to get it I couldn't get it because I had a Damel on my line (those damn damel's). About a month ago a line technitian was at my neighbors and I asked him about it and he said all they would have to do is remove the damel (which by the way allowed me to have two phone #'s on one line or something like that) which I wasn't using and I could probably get the service. So he took all my info and called for me and walla they are installing it on Friday. 384Kbs to 1.5Mbs download and 128Kbs to 384Kbs upload all for $49.95/month plus $198 setup fee - I can't wait.

The moral of the story is the Telcos have so many employees and only a handfull are worth a s***.
