>>I am about to install Win2K server on a machine that has a Memorex CD R/W drive. I think I remember someone saying recently that they were having trouble getting their burner to run under Win2K. Anyone got any advice/ warnings?

>If you're currently relying on Adaptec's DirectCD or Easy CD Creator, neither works under Win2K; some (at least the HP7201 and 82xx drives) do have native support, but use the UDF 1.5 format, and do not close the CD, so you'll need to access the CD from another CD-RW to close it and make it available to non CD-RW drives. Adaptec has a wealth of information about CD-RW and the various formats - try www.cdrcentral.com/community (Adaptec's site), www.fadden.com/cdrfaq/ (the canonical reference), and www.cd-info.com (another site with lots of links) for more detail than you could possibly hope to get. cdrfaq is the most complete.

That's what I was afraid of. I checked out these sites, and you're right, there's a ton of data there, but none that I could find on Win 2K specifically.

Is it feasable to dual-boot NT and 2000? 2000 doesn't have a boot loader does it?
