I have developed Inventory, Invoice and Accounts Payable in Visual Foxpro with and ODBC conection to an Visual Foxpro database. I'm replacing un old system with tables in Foxpro 2.6 with the new system.

The problem begin when I finalize the conversion of the data from one system to another and because the amount of data is big, the performance of the new system with the ODBC conexion, to the Foxpro Database, is too slowly. I want to know is the index of the tables is important to the perfomance of the conexion and what I can to do to improve the performance?
