John,

>You and I have had our differences. And to some extent, I would say you are a bit over-sensitive.

In this I agree. I'm over-sensitive to rudeness and people who do think that they're superiour to another, Especially when they are people who I admire because of their knowledge on a certain field. There are lot's of people who I admire here on the UT independent of their status (MVP, PUTM, BUTM), but if they go out of line..... I'll not hesitate to tell them.

>I also recall you as somebody who is a bit liberal on the whole software piracy issue.

A whole other topic, Yeah I don't approve some tight restrictions on licenses, but this doesn't mean I own or approve Illegal software. I've got my own Backoffice, W98, W95, FPD 2.6, FWP 2.6a, VFP 3.0, Visual studio 5.0 and 6.0 licenses, Office 97 and Office 2000 licenses and a whole lot of other software. I do not accept a situation where you earn money out of illegal software.

I don't want to start this thread all over again, but I'll give two examples of license violation which I find acceptable:
- If a vendor doesn't have the possibility to switch from one english version piece of software (in my cases MS Office) to one localized for an acceptable amount of money (thus not $350, which is even more money up here than in the US). This is what I call RUDENESS; the thing I'm so sentitive off. To some extent this licenses thing violates some local laws up here.
- when my wife wants to type a letter in word or Excell once a month while I have a licence for one user only.

My whole take in this, is that licenses issues is not a black or white thing. This is the major difference that Ed R and I have, though I have great respects for Eds knowledge.

Ed, because I know you going to read this: I don't want to discuss this all over again, and I won't make any more statement about this :=)

>You know the old saying, people in glass houses should not cast stones.

I dont see that being a liberal and sensitivity to rudeness are mutual exclusive.

>>When does the hurting stop ?? ...
>What hurt... I asked Ed to translate what he said... What is the big deal???

You know that I was not only referring to this last message, but the general style in your recent postings. The big deal is your recent postings seem to irritate people. Because of my senstivity to the subject, I'm asking if you would try to keep this in mind for your future postings ;-) If your not willing to do this for me, then please do this for others and make your MVP title shine..

As far as I'm concerned: Discussion closed. I'll hope to speak to you about technical issues next time......
