I am currently working on an app to push changes up to an AS/400 system. I use the librarys in the AS/400 Express Tool Kit. What I have to do is create a fixed record length string. I use COPY NEXT 1 TO "G:\foxapps\drawingPDM\t2" TYPE SDF. Then I do Run /N7 "G:\foxapps\drawingPDM\sndupdt.bat". This runs a batch file to copy the string to the AS/400 system. Then since I could not get VFP to use to Express Library effectively I created an ActiveX component in VB to execute a program on the AS/400 to take the string and inport it to the table. This ActiveX is run from my VFP code. It may sound cumbersome but it works.
