John, Ed,
If I may...
If you give me a gold coin but in the process you punch me in the nose after a while I won't want that gold coin, no matter how valuable it is. And no matter how loudly anyone proclaims its great value.
Technical correctness without "people correctness" just doesn't work and quite honestly is, at the end of the day, very counterproductive and diminishes the value of that technical content
no matter how correct it may be.
We all to some extent inadvertantly offend others. You have done so here, as has Ed, and I'm sure I have at some point as well.
I apologize to the both of you for being so stupid that I need your help. I am truly sorry that I don't always "get it" and need help from my colleagues. I know it really must put you out to have to help and I will honestly try and never ask a question without knowing the answer beforehand.
Shame on all of us for insisting on our so-called "rights" at the expense of others. That is an very foolish attitude.
Best,
DD

Everything I don't understand must be easy!
