>We have a new client coming on that wants to have chat services from their web page. I'm not talking about a chat room. They want to do customer support via online chat, so it would need to connect directly to a support agent.

Here are some possible leads for phase1:
- http://www.parachat.com/samples/index.htm in particular (http://www.parachat.com/samples/public.htm )
- there are a couple more at http://dir.yahoo.com/Business_and_Economy/Companies/Computers/Business_to_Business/Software/Internet/Chat/

>In phase two over this project they want voice over IP and/or video to the support agent.
>We have no idea how to implement these. Also, we want to buy a big enough web server and pipe to the internet at the beginning. We'll be using IIS. End users could have any browser. Can anyone help?

The adult industry has been doing this for years. In fact "video chat" on yahoo brings up only adult sites. You might want to warn the wife or boss first.
