I want to know is the index of the tables is important to the perfomance of the conexion and what I can to do to improve the performance?

I had exactly the same problems with VFP at the back.
In my opinion this not exactly the best deployment solution
(VFP database behind ODBC) and you will experience lott of
running problems in the future. You can improve performance here and there
(Indexes & Rushmore optimization) but you will not likely ever have realy
robust system. This scenario is good (cheap) for architecturing CLIENT-SERVER solutions, but deployment of the real system should be done using (MS) SQL-SERVER at the back - at least.
If Client-Server solution is not realy must, you can do pretty good
job by organizing ordinary network scenario. VFP is THE BEST&BEST&BEST
- for that.
