I thought I recalled this error being caused by spaces in the destination directory (is that what you meant?) not the directory the setup files were in.

I'd found the article by breaking the error message down and searching on different parts. The one that returned the article was a searh for "Bad default path field".

>No I don't think so... The setup directory is called dummy. I don't believe this violates any of the rules for directories for NT, win 9x or win 3x or even DOS.

>BTW, how did you find the right KB article? I went and did a search on the error and all that was returned for the first 3 pages was stuff abour visual source safe. I explicitly told it that I weas looking for a VFP error with this text... (quite annoying actually..)
