Bruce, first I used my current form, removing everything, leaving just the exit button. I removed everything other than settings from the prg file, under vfp it still ran and stopped until exit was clicked. I compiled it, closed vfp and ran the exe - it still ran perfectly.

Then I created a new form, added a formset, gave it the same name, put one exit button on it, releasing the form.

Settings:

Formset.windowtype=1 - modal
Formset.Autorelease=.t.
Formset.Datasession=1
Form.showwindow= 2 - modal
Form.windowtype=1 - modal

It ran fine it the vfp environment, and when compiled ran fine as well outside the vfp environment. In case it makes any difference, I am still using vfp5a, not 6.
