We are having a lot of problems with Spool32 errors printing from our Dos Foxpro25 applications within the Windows 98 environment. We are printing through a captured network printer, printed to LPT1, LPT2 or LPT3. We can't just turn off spooling, because it is a network printer. We thought this was an exclusive Dos issue, but we had this occur a couple of times printing from our VFP 5.0 application. A characteristic of this is after the Spool 32 error, the icons in the Printer folder disappear. We have looked at all the Microsoft Knowledgebase messages related to Spool32, as well. We have standardized with using the HP drivers that shipped with Windows 98, rather than the HP enhanced versions that come with printers. We are wondering if anyone has experienced these error messages and found any solutions.
