When i open or requery a view with the connection's property 'transactions' set to manual a transaction is started at the backend (SQL Server in my case).

Why is this and what can i do about it?

Should i set the property 'transactions' to automatic before i open or requery a remote view and set it back to manual afterwords?

I did a project with SQL and VFP before but used SPT. I must say i had this kind of stuff much better under control.
