If you already own a 15 user copy of SQL Server, you have licenses to allow 15 distinct workstations to connect to the server. Now with the introduction of a middle-tier component, things get a little more interesting. The license agreement for 7.0 still requires a CAL for each workstation, even though the workstation is not making an explicit connection to SQL Server.
