Thanks, Ed. It does prompt another question: what is the link between the .EXE (called from the local machine with a desktop shortcut to the location and file on the server drive) and VFP6 runtime, residing somewhere on the local machine? In other words, where does the .EXE look on the local drive to find the runtime files? Do I, somehow, have to indicate a link, and if so, where and how?
