No I did not declare these variables. I did not think I really had to being they are objects.

Just to show you exactly what my setup is here I emailed you one program and two screens. They are very very simple. The program has one line of code which calls form1. Form1 is modeless and is top level form. The button on form1 calls form2. Form2 is also modeless and runs in top level. Run the program and when form1 comes up click on the button to see form2. Then look at form2 in the watch window of the debugger. Mine says it can't be evaluated. If you run form2 by itself the debugger says it is an object. ???????
