I'm not sure my last response to this ever got posted so I'm trying again here...

In the first message I posted, I mis-spoke slightly. As the detail band grows, it may push the GROUP footer onto the next page. If ONLY the group footer gets wrapped to the last page (with nothing from the detail band), then the data in the PAGE footer contains the data from the NEXT record in my table. So the page Footer itself is not the one changing in height (I misled you there.) It's the DETAIL band stretching, and the GROUP footer sometimes being pushed alone to the last page.
