Well your point is well taken for whole documents but in my case we want to use an RTF control to store formatted text in memo fields and then print those memo fields out on a report along with other fields of data.

A good example would be a test generator. Someone would input questions into a memo field and the questions would print out on a report. But what if you want the user to be able to format the text of the questions with an RTF control. That works great but there is currently no way to print out the nicely formatted questions.

>>I've asked this question several times on this forum as well as the Microsoft News Groups. No one has ever given me a solution. If you find one please post it here. I've been looking for over a year now. I've thought about trying to write a driver to be used with GenRepoX but haven't gotten around to it. I'm pretty sure that would be the only solution.

Rip,

>You could get ascii RTF data or .RTF .DOC file to display in RTF control and save it to a file or general field. So far so good. As far as only native VFP reporter is used it makes me sense to print as far as it makes sense to print a word doc on a report. I tried to do none of them.
>Instead I would use OLEAutomation to word like mailmerging and do entire printing from there. Or if not word is installed make one RTF file for report including other data and use RTFControls selprint. Using selprint has code posted here originally by Christof Lange.
