That's a simple situation of supply and demand. The VFP amrket is small adn it doesn't sell 10's of thousands of copies of books. 10 thousand is a really successful book for VFP. Publishers are in business to make money, not to promote software, book stores too.
Small publishers, like Hentzenwerke, can make money with VFP books because they keep their costs down by not working through distributers to the chain stores that want boxes of books on consignment and at prices that are so low that the return on investment only shows up when the book has sold twice its expected distribution.
It's all just numbers and economics.
