I dunno what the legality is but there is serious conflict of interest going on in Miami. Oh, and the politicians also round up old folks from nursing homes and pay 'em $10 or so to vote for them.
I don't mean this as an immigrant issue, it's more of a political immaturity issue. And it extends all the way to the US Congress. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R - Miami) always seems to know nothing about pamphlets going out at election time, in Spanish, telling the voters that she can only represent them because she is Cuban and her opponent is a racist pig who probably screws pigs or something. Yes, it gets that "yahoo-ish" here.
