The classlib I was using had a bunch of other forms in it. I took all of those out leaving only the one I wanted. The first couple of times I did this the number of records in the .vcx table did not change. On the third attempt, the records went from 304 to 75. I then made the change in the first record, as you suggeted, and voila, I have an independent form!
