I'm working on a project where we use a report form to generate customer letters. Some letters may overflow on to a second or even third page.
My problem: keeping the closing paragraph together with the 'Sincerely yours ...' etc.
I've tried creating a variable lcClosing which contains the entire closing paragraph + CRLF + 'Sincerely,' etc, and placing it in the Summary section of the report. But sometimes this summary section prints about an 1/8 inch from the top of page 2.
I've also tried creating a bogus Data Group (Group Expression = .T.) and placing the closing paragraph in the group footer (Float and Strech with Overflow are both checked). But then my widow/orphan problem comes back. No amount of tweaking the 'Start group on new page when less than' value seems to help.
Does anyone have a suggestion?
TIA for your help!
