Just a short message to help get the mind off of Y2K stress-related stuff.
I've noticed over the years that different regions of the country have unique sayings that differentiate them from other areas.
For example, in Southern California where I grew up the surfers have developed a whole language subculture. Words like 'dude' 'gnarly', 'tubular' and so forth.
Here in Utah, as I mentioned to George T. in another thread the operative phrase is "You
Bet-cha".
What are the funny local idioms and sayings in your area?
