As you know, Texas has a language all its own as well.

"Fixin' to (whatever)" -- about to do whatever -- seems to be the operative here. Also, reference any Jeff Foxworthy CD for hints on how to be a redneck, since most of those who claim to be born and reared Texans agree with at least a few of those characterizations of them...
