Thank you for your reply. The reason I wanted to change default printers is that the syntax of set printer to name {windows printer name} does not seem to work. I am trying to have my application select beteen a local printer and winfax according to contact information stored in a database. and since set printer to name did'nt work thought resetting the default printer might be worth a try. Do you have any suggestions for a for a good book or other source if information about the interface between FoxPro and Windows 95
