I highly recommend writing your own- but don't foget to check out a few others for ideas- the guys who have een writing frameorks for a long time know their stuff, and usually have some pretty good ideas on implementation (though I've seen some really bad ideas too.)

IMO, any framework you write, you should write as if it is going to be dstributed. The practice keps you honest, and makes you stick to conventions that you might not if you knew that you were going to be the only person looking at the code.
