I remiond you of the title of this thread, "Commonly misused and abused VFP features." My point is that the REPORT PREVIEW is commonly misused. I can tell you that the number of times I and others have dealt with the question, "My report looks great on paper but it is too small to read on screen, what should I do?" indicates clearly that the preview option of the report in VFP is frequently misused.

Whether it works ok in some situations or not does not change that point.

I made no mention of using grids or anything in particular, but I did say that a form could be built that gave the user the ability to see the data they want to see and even give them options to manipulate that data on screen in a interactive report. Whether that sceen had a gerisd or not is not even an issue here.

So, I still say, that the report preview is a frequently misused feature of VFP.
