Mike.....

Did she make this to you? Is it in written form? I asked where the statement is, not for the name of the person who made the statement.

Of course. There needs to be some sort of quality control. The fact is, any online site can qualify. This place did. There is not monopoly.

>>You do realize that the body of your posts states that the UT is an "unofficial" MVP site.. The banner would indicate otherwise..

>Nope, I am bad with words as you have told before. The NewsGroups and UT are all official. There are 2-3 sites that are not.

Would you care to tell me about the unoffical sites?

>>There is not enough traffic on the VB universal thread. So, while it could be an MVP site, nobody goes there. A moot point....

>What does Moot mean? Anyway, you are exactly right, because of the low traffic there, MS doesn't feel that any VBer who awnsers many questions there is not a competitor (while maybe MVP or MVP worthy), there is just not enough of a challenge to make it a deciding site.

OK... A synonym for moot is irrelevant. Bascially, there is no practicality to the argument. In this case, you are viewing this as the tail wagging the dog, as opposed to the dog wagging the tail.

The reason why the VB UT is not an MVP site is not because of something intrinsic about the UT VB. Rather, it is because the MVP do not go there.

You see Mike, the power rests with the MVP's. Our collective efforts dictate where the offical or unoffical sites are. If the MVP's decide to leave the UT in favor of another online forum, the VFP UT will not be an MVP site anymore.

Do you now see where the power rests?

Create a nice environment, and you can be the host. If it attracts our attention, and you do all the right things, you can have the ball. Why? Because it isn't my, your, and especially not Michel's ball. It is the COMMUNITY'S ball.

Are you up to the challenge?
