Just to expand on what you've said, the WSH Wscript.Network object adds much of the minimally-needed functionality, like mapping drives and printers, sniffing out shares and the like. What Wscript.Network doesn't add is often available through the ADSI components available from MS, especilly when implementing things like security and permission management. And unlike Novell's controls, the ADSI components are available cross-platform, and are not dependent on the services of Novell's Client32.
