I've seen a couple requests for the upper frame behaviour recently. I think that might screw some people up though. The upper frame shows unread messages, correct. If the calender/search/etc. dumped up to that frame you would lose all unread messages.

I personally prefer the windiod option myself. I usually shift-click the links to get one, but it would be nice if the new window was smaller as you suggested.

>What if instead, the results went into the upper frame by default? I do like the option of creating a separate window. However, I would make it a small IE window that is a child of the current browser instance.
