I have an idea:

1) Select EDR_No, Max(Submit_No) As Submit_No From Table2 Into Cursor XYZ Group By 1

2) Select T.EDR_No, X.Submit_No From Table1 T, XYZ X Where T.Status = "Open" And T.EDR_No = X.EDR_No Into Cursor TempResult

The first SQL gets the highest value for each EDR. The second SQL combines that result with your base data in Table1.

Good Luck, ~ David Bailey ~

>I have asked this question before but am still not sure how to achieve the results I want. I will present it again. I have two tables. The first table lists EDR numbers the second table lists each time this particular EDR number was submitted until accepted. Example:
>Table 1
>12341
>12342
>12343
>
>Table 2
>12341
>1
>2
>12342
>1
>2
>3
>4
>12343
>1
>
>What I desire to report on is the last submittal data of all open EDR's. I don't need to see any history of submittals on this particular report. Thanks for any help.
